The Kiano Body Care Story

In 2002, my friend and mentor, Dr. Ashanti, who was a psychologist at North Carolina State University, asked me if I had heard of Shea Butter. When he first asked if I had ever heard of it, I admitted that I had not. Dr. Ashanti, who was also an enstooled king of the Ashanti people of Ghana, West Africa, explained that Shea Butter was a natural, nutrient-rich butter that had been treasured in Africa for centuries for its many beneficial uses. 

Dr. Ashanti and I began importing Shea Butter and African Black Soap from Ghana. As I introduced these products to customers, I received overwhelmingly positive feedback. At that time, Shea Butter was still relatively unknown to many consumers in the United States, although it was being utilized by a number of European cosmetic companies. 

Motivated by the growing interest in these natural products, I dedicated myself to researching and learning more about Shea Butter's, other butters and essential oils properties and applications. Over the years, I have developed a variety of products, including body butters, body oils, soaps, moisturizers, and other skincare solutions designed to nourish and protect the skin. 

Today, what began as a question from a trusted mentor has grown into a family-driven business. My family and I are united by a shared passion and vision: to provide our customers with the highest-quality and most effective natural skincare products.
